Ademola Okulaja plans to return

Ademola Okulaja(2.07-PF) plans to return to action according to eurobasket.com. The german veteran forward talked to german basketball magazine 'Forward' for the first time about his condition. Ademola Okulaja had suffered a thoracic vertebrae rupture this summer and had to undergo surgery. The cause for the fracture of the vertebrae was a tumor and the german national player had to undergo further treatments to fight cancer.

The 33-year old, who was meant to sit out for the whole season, plans to return to the court. Talks with the doctors, positive predictions and a successful surgery gave rise to optimism. Ademola Okulaja is still under contract with Brose Baskets Bamberg this season and could come back at some indefinite future date. The german basketball community keeps their fingers crossed and hopes that Okulaja lives up to his nickname 'the warrior' and recovers soon.

Ademola Okulaja averaged 10.2 points and 6.5 rebounds in 13 games in the Euroleague for Brose Baskets last season.
