Ettore Messina has been in the spotlight of today's basketball news around Europe as the current president of the French Basketball federation Yvan Manini, "slipped up", by saying that he spoke to him on the phone regarding the head coach position of France.
Apparently Ettore Messina replied in that conversation that as he will become the head coach of Barcelona next season he won't be able to become the coach of a National Team, moreover he said he wouldn't like coaching against his home country Italy. That was quite an interesting statement by president Manini during the pre-election season.
