Olympiakos to target Posey?

Another candidate can be added to the already very long list of players that have been implicated, one way or the other with Olympiakos. This time it is NBA veteran James Posey(2.03-SF) of New Orleans, that won 2 NBA rings with Miami and Boston in the 2 previous seasons. Obviously this move would overshadow that of Josh Childress but then again it is too early to say anything as it is only a rumor. Posey averaged 11.4 points and 6.2 rebounds in 75 games with New Orleans in the regular season.

On a sidenote doubts are forming now about the possible transfer of Nikos Zisis(1.95-PG/SG) to Olympiakos if David Blatt assumes the head coach position in CSKA. The saga of Ettore Messina is still holding up and if he were to leave CSKA then Blatt might be the next candidate in line. Zisis and Blatt had 2 great seasons in Benetton Treviso that resulted to the conquest of the italian league.

Posey's under contract until 2011/12. This is fairly public knowledge.

I'm just the messenger.. greek websites have a tendency to overreact these days. Olympiakos is hot stuff and selling like crazy. Especially since the owners of the basketball club want to become shareholders in the football club as well. There will probably be more of those to come..
