Maccabi released Alan Anderson

Anderson didn't do as well, as the fans had expected. So now he is free..


Alan Anderson(1.98-SG/SF) was released by Maccabi Tel Aviv and it was announced via their official website. The administration of Maccabi decided not to keep Anderson's contract and they wish him all the best in his future. He averaged 10.3 points 2.4 rebounds and 2.5 assists in 25 games in the Israeli League and also 13.7 points 3.6 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 20 games in the Euroleague.

Anderson started his sports career in Michigan State University and played in the NCAA Final Four in 2005. That season he signed 2-year deal with Charlotte Bobcats in the NBA, but mainly played in the NBDL. He averaged 15.3 points 4.8 rebounds and 2 assists in 7 games in the Euroleague and he helped Cibona conquer the title of the Croatian league averaging 16.2 points 6.8 rebounds and 2.8 assists in 13 games. He has also played for Triumph Lyubertsy and Virtus Bologna.
