Glyniadakis and Simon to join Astana

Double-center-whammy by the Kazakh reigning champion.

BC Astana of Kazakhstan started their transfers early enough. Their first addition is Andreas Glyniadakis(2.15-C) who decided he polished the bench of Olympiakos long enough and thought that it was about time he played some basketball for a change. It's good to get paid to be a glorified practice prop in Olympiakos but sometimes you just want to play. The move was advertised by his agent's website.

The other player was David Simon(2.07-C) from BC Radnicki. The announcement is as follows:
David Simon (207-C-82) from Radnicki KG, one of the best players in Adriatic League, signed contract with BC Astana, VTB League participant. The US centre had an outstanding season with Radnicki Kragujevac. David Simon tallied impressive 19.4 points, 6.5 rebounds, 1.4 blocks, 1.2 assists and 1.0 steal per game in Adriatic League. He also notched 14.4 points, 5.2 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per game in Serbian League. Eurobasket.com named David Simon All-Adriatic League Player of the Year.
